  • 5:30 a.m. -- Transition opens
  • 7:30 a.m. -- Sprint swim starts

• Boulder Beach at Lake Mead National Recreation Area (map location) just outside Boulder City

• The RAGE Road Runs are SSG's official 5K and 10K road races, and qualifiers for active adults ages 50+ for the 2027 National Senior Games. They will run concurrently with the RAGE Triathlon sprint event. 
• All athletes must choose one (1) event -- 5K, 10K or sprint triathlon -- to participate in that day. 
• Triathlon's run segment is not valid for NSG Road Runs qualification. 
• All athletes must start and finish their chosen event to be eligible for SSG awards and NSG qualification in that event.
• SSG does not guarantee entry into RAGE Triathlon if the event sells out. All participants are encouraged to sign up early!
• SSG is not offering a Tri Relay or Tri Recumbent option this year. Visit BBSC's website to learn more about their multi-sport relays.

Step 1. SILVER STATE GAMES REGISTRATION

• $50 for Nevada residents 
• $55 for out-of-state residents
• No additional sport fee
• Registration required to be eligible for SSG awards and NSG qualification

Step 2. BBSC RAGE SPRINT TRIATHLON REGISTRATION

• When you complete your SSG triathlon registration, you will receive a 20% group discount code (courtesy of BBSC!) in your confirmation email.
• Use the 20% group discount code during your BBSC registration to save on their race fee.
• Visit the BBSC website to learn more about their races.
• Registration required to participate in the RAGE Triathlon. No exceptions!

• Wednesday, April 22 at 11:59 p.m. is the SSG deadline to sign up for its triathlon 
• Because RAGE Triathlon is a popular spring race in southern Nevada, it often sells out. Don't wait to register! 
• SSG does not guarantee entry into RAGE Triathlon.

• Registration for all of our events including the Fall Games, held in September and October, opens each spring on or about April 1. 
• Save $5 by signing up during our "Early Bird" period: April 1 - July 31.
• Registration ends for each sport about 2 weeks before the event date. No late or day-of sign-ups allowed.
• Refunds must be requested in writing or by email. Refunds before August 31 will be assessed $25 administrative fee. No refunds after August 31.

•  2 volunteers to help our sport coordinator on race morning, 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Check in athletes and hand out SSG commemorative pins
• Track race result and record finishing times
• Award medals earned after GGS team finalizes results

Triathlon was never a sport Bonnie considered participating in until a few months before her 50th birthday. When she barely finished a “beginner” triathlon, she discovered she wasn’t the athlete she thought she was! 

But after working hard with an experienced triathlon coach, Bonnie successfully -- and joyfully -- finished her first sprint race in Vancouver, British Columbia seven months later.  She went on to finish many more. 

When she discovered the senior games lifestyle, she quickly added race walk, power walk, cycling, and strength training to the mix. 

Bonnie has medaled in race walking, power walking, and cycling in the Silver State Games (a.k.a. Nevada Senior Games), Huntsman World Senior Games (Utah), Idaho Senior Games, and Washington State Senior Games. She did the 1500m race walk and 5K cycling time trial at the 2019 National Senior Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In her spare time, Bonnie also takes care of SSG's digital marketing and website.
