Since 1980, the Silver State Games (formerly known as the Nevada Senior Games) has advocated for and promoted active, healthy living for adults ages 50-plus. Now, in 2026, many of our events now welcome those ages 40-plus!

Our annual competitions in 20-plus events welcome participants from Nevada, across the U.S., and around the world. Come compete, play, and enjoy the camaraderie of others like you in one of the most exciting places in the world: Las Vegas!

The majority of our events take place in September and October in Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, and Mesquite.

The majority of our sports welcome active adults ages 40-plus to compete for medals and personal bests or play for fun and friendship. Check the sport's web page for this year's age requirements.

Those ages 50-plus seeking to qualify for the 2027 National Senior Games will want to play here in the Silver State Games!

NATIONAL SENIOR GAMES ASSOCIATION

As Nevada's member of the National Senior Games Association, we hold qualifying events in even years for active adults ages 50 and better:

2026 for the 2027 National Senior Games, hosted by Tulsa, Oklahoma, June 30 - July 11.
2028 for the 2029 National Senior Games, hosted by Birmingham, Alabama.

Our 2026 sports schedule includes NSG qualifying events such as Badminton, Pickleball, Road Race, Swimming, and Track & Field.

At each National Senior Games, NSGA offers a few "Open" (non-qualifying) sports for anyone (age 50 or better) to sign up and try out. In 2027 those events will include Basketball Shooting Skills, Cornhole, and Power Walk -- events our active adults already enjoy!
