GENERAL INFORMATION

• Each entrant must submit a completed Athlete Application and Waiver
• Adults meeting the age requirements of their desired sport are invited to participate. Nevada's Silver State Games welcomes out-of-state and international participants.
• Age group assignment will be determined by age as of December 31 of this year
• All entrants will compete within their 5-year age group, such as 30-34, 35-39, and so on. 
• In the event there is only one (1) entrant in an Age Group, that entrant will compete in the next lower Age Group. For example, if only one athlete is in the 65-69 Age Group, then they will compete in the 60-64 Age Group.
• Medals will be awarded in accordance with actual Age Group. 
• Team and Doubles entries will be assigned to the Age Group of the youngest player on the team.
• Team Captains must submit a completed application and team roster.
• Each Team member must submit a signed waiver. 

• The first three (3) Nevada residents in each age group within each event will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). 
• Out-of-state and international residents will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals in their order of actual finish. 
• Out-of-area residents cannot displace Nevada residents.
• Participants are responsible to pick up their Games' shirt and medals, if won, by end of the competition. MEDALS AND T-SHIRTS ARE NOT BE MAILED.

• Check-in time is generally 30 minutes prior to posted starting time. 
• Late arrivals may compete solely at the discretion of the Sport Coordinator. 
• Contact the Sport Coordinator for specific questions about the event. 
• Contact Silver State Games office for questions about your registration or sports entry.  

• Online registration opens on April 1 of each year. If a situation occurs that may delay registration opening (example: natural disaster, technical issues, etc.), notification will be sent by email or a post on the Silver State Games' Facebook page.
• Online registration is highly encouraged.

• Mailed, emailed or drop-off paper registrations will be assessed a $25 processing fee.
• Mailed paper registration must be postmarked by July 31 of this year to receive the EARLY BIRD $5 OFF discount. 
• Emailed paper registration (PDFs) must be emailed by July 31 at 11:59 p.m. of this year to receive the EARLY BIRD $5 OFF discount. 
• Regular athlete registration fee pricing goes into effect on August 1 of this year.
• Registration deadlines vary by sport, and is about two (2) weeks before the event's competition date. Check the sport(s)' web page for more information.
• No late or day-off entries are accepted.

• Silver State Games accepts individual and team paper registration with a $25 administrative fee.
• Email your request for the Mail-In Paper Registration Form Kit that includes registration, waiver, and your desired sport(s) fliers.
• Mail all completed forms and payment to Silver State Games, 3311 S. Rainbow Blvd, #140, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
• Option: Scan completed forms with credit card payment information as PDFs, and email them to silverstategamesnv @ outlook.com.

• All entries must be paid in full prior to participation in an event.
• Team Captains must remit all Team Fees. 
• A Team Member wishing to participate in another event (other than team) must register separately and is responsible for ensuing fees.
• Payment may be remitted by a) money order, b) check (subject to collection), or c) credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover only) 
• Collection:  a) Checks returned for any reason must be replaced by either a cashiers check or money order prior to event, and b) A thirty-dollar ($30.00) fee will be assessed for any returned check or rejected credit card.

• No refunds after August 31 of this year. 
• Refund requests must be made in writing (via first-class mail, email, or hand delivery) and received by Silver State Games by August 31.
• All refunds will be assessed a $25 administrative fee. 

• All athletes must wear appropriate attire for their event. 
• All athletes are responsible for the provision of equipment required to compete.
• In some events equipment MAY be available for loan or rental. Please check with specific event Coordinator for availability. 
• All equipment must meet weight or size requirements of Silver State Games or sport governing body. 
• Please check event information sheet and/or with the Sport Coordinator for details, if needed. 
• Any conduct deemed unsportsmanlike or disruptive to the event or to other competitors risks disqualification from Silver State Games with no refund of fees. Depending upon the severity of the incident, permanent disqualification (banning)  from Silver State Games may result.

• All participants are required to follow their sport's rules and calls made by referees and other officials.
• All participants are required to be courteous of others including but not limited to fellow participants, officials, spectators, volunteers, emergency services personnel, and venue management and staff.
• Any participant who does not wish to follow health orders or protocols issued by local, state, and/or federal authorities after August 31 may withdraw without prejudice. No refunds will be given.
• Any participant whose actions are deemed unsportsmanlike or disruptive to the event or to other competitors risks disqualification from Silver State Games with no refund of fees. 
• Depending upon the severity of the incident, the participant may face disqualification in other pending events and/or a permanent ban from future Silver State Games competitions.

• Participation in all events is governed by the rules stated within the specific sport information sheet.
• All disputes will be settled by the Sports Coordinator, who has the final word.
